Not many things in this world are grimmer than a baby changing mat in a public toilet. Usually covered in greasy sheen and speckled with unidentified crumbs (breadsticks? skin particles? actual faeces?), they should really only ever be used as an absolute last resort. This particular example caused even more of an affront with its horrible spelling of the word ‘cuddly’.

Although the rule of thumb is to ditch the ‘e’ when adding a ‘y’, it’s a rule that doesn’t always hold fast – see ‘Smiley’ on the same grubby mat for proof.
